Kala is a name that comes from a principle of Huna, the Hawaiian spiritual practice -- the idea that there are no limitations -- Everything is possible.

As a child, upset he couldn’t express loss with his own feelings, he devoted himself to make music that others could relate to while helping them understand how to access themselves like he needed.

Fueled by a promise to himself to make music that comes from the heart, and what he has been through so others could relate and learn to equip with the skills in order to explore their own emotions.

His impressive vocal range induces stary captivating melodies that stand out on every track because of how contrasting yet familiar it sounds. The Neo soul and R&B influences have inspired him to create music that many will relate to and experience whole with the gratitude to be alive.

The biggest myth is the illusion that we’re not all connected through the natural melodies in the world. Kala is willing to share this with as many ears that need and want to listen. The cards are always on the table.

Kala is also the vocalist of the alternative electronic group Ghost Creek along with long-time friend, producer DMVU. Known for their strikingly thick layered production, introspective lyricism and vibrant melodies that float effortlessly through the space it occupies. He recently collaborated with Of the Trees on the hit single “Honeydust”, which has been streamed over a million times.
